Photorefractive Surgery (PRK) is relatively safe. But it has a longer recovery time as compared to WAVE-front which is completely blade less. PRK feels like having a sunburn on your eyes for 3 to 4 days while its recovering, and WAVE front has very little recovery, just remember to take eye drops every few hours so you dont get an infection Right now there is no permanent cure for needing eyeglasses or contacts, because even after surgery your eyes will still change, all-be-it better or worse. Its worth the investment as long as your prescription hasn't changed at all in at least 3 years. Otherwise your spending $5,000 and in two years spending $300 on a new pair of glasses |
