Question: Had lasik, one eye still blurry though?

I had Lasik two days ago, my right eye was 20/ 20 by evening but my left had to be redone the next day due to a wrinkled flap. The doctor then put a "bandage contact " on my left eye. My vision seems to be pretty consistantly blurry and it hasn't improved within the last 24 hours. Has this happened to anyone else? Not quite sure what the contact lens does other than keep the flap down?

Yes the lens does keep the flap down. But it still can cause some blur. Remember that your eyes and your brain still have to adapt to the new situation. some doctors still fail to inform their patients that crisp and clear vision might not come immediately. All people have different reactions to laser surgery. Just give it some time, and ask your doctor lots of questions.

Your contact lens is just a 'holding' lens to keep everything in place while it heals. There are many possibilities for the blurry sight but 24 hours is still early to tell. If it doesn't improve by 7 days, please go see the doctor and get it check or redone again as it might be due to a misalign flap. Hopefully, its not because of a permanent wrinkled flap but chances are very low. For more info and videos on Lasik. lasiksg.com
