Unless you have a vision plan, it is unlikely that your insurance will cover your evaluation. They will do all of the things that they would do at a regular exam. They will measure the thickness of your cornea. They will do a corneal topography to rule out any condition that would cause problems after the procedure. They will probably do some kind of wave front analysis to determine if you would benefit from custom LASIK. They will measure your pupil size under a number of conditions. They will dilate your eyes and refract you. They will go over the risks of LASIK and have you sign that you understand them.

Is yours an aesthetic problem or a health problem? Usually, if its aesthetic, the Lasik centre should actually do the lasik evaluation free so as to encourage you to take up the Lasik Operation. If its a health issue, like cataract, you should check with the insurance co. Comprehensive Guide to Lasik Surgery in Singapore lasiksg.com
