Lasik

Question: I have dry eyes because i wear contacts ,i'm 21 do you think i should do lasik surgery and is there any risks?

Because i'm scared...but i hate myself in glasses and now i can't wear contacts all the time

Do you have dry eyes because of contact lens or do you have dry eyes and contact lens bother you? Reason is that common side effects from lasik surgery is DRY EYES and halo or glare. I've never had problems with dry eyes with contacts before but after lasik it's really bad. I have to use eye drops about 3 times a day everyday. Figure out what the problem is first. If you have dry eyes due to contact lens, then maybe try different brand contact lens and ask your doctor.

LASIK is fairly reliable surgery but there is the risk of going blind if something goes wrong but it is rare. Long term side effects haven't been able to be tested yet as it hasn't been around all that long.
