Lasik Eye Surgery

Question: I just had lasik eye surgery about a week ago, can i use visine redness relief eye drops?

ABSOLUTELY NOT. Visine is only a pharmacological mask to the symptoms and is likely to do more harm than good. You should have been placed on antibiotic, steroid and artificial tear drops for about a week post-op. After you discontinue the antibiotic and steroid (following your doctor's orders), you will then continue using the artificial tears for quite awhile. At first you will be using the artificial tears often, so you will need to be on the preservative-free variety. Your LASIK surgical team should have told you this.
