Anyone have lasik eye surgery done?
I just had lasik done on my eyes on thursday. The right eye sees things perfect and sharp. The left eye sees things a little blurred. I'd guess around 20 25 20 30... I can read most things they just have a slight blur on the edges when looking only through that eye. Together it's not really noticable unless I'm reading some small print... then it's kind of annoying unless I cover the left. I was just curious if this could improve or if people have had the surgery and something similar and it ended up getting better or worse . I'm hoping it will clear up. I was just looking for people who have done it and can share their experiences. Even if it never clears up, I am insanely happy with how I can see now for the most part seeing as my vision used to be over 20 400. But yea, just curious about others experiences and how your eyes developed a week, month etc after the surgery.

I have dry eyes and have had lasik eye surgery five yrs ago. Lately, my eyes have been very irritated.?
In the morning it hurts to open them and they are sometimes crusty. They have been very bloodshot and they burn alot. Can anyone suggest an over the counter product to use in them. I've used the Rx for dry eyes and was not happy with the results.

I've read a lot on the experience but have yet to see anyone mention how long they've had it. I'm trying to see if a person's vision was good after 5, 10 or 15 years....been researching and as of 1994 over 1 million people have had the surgery...I would like to know if anyone has continued to have good vision...Thank you Jared. That was really informative. I'm thinking of getting the procedure but I'm really skeptical at the same time. I think I will hold off until " facts" are a bit more inclusive for me and less partial. Can LASIK eye surgery correct vision to better than 20/20?
I know very little about optics or vision in general, but I remember my father telling me he had 15 15 vision or something to that effect. Most LASIK websites advertise correction to 20 20, but can they do better? Perhaps if the patient has a very low prescription to begin with?If it's possible, is it something you pay extra for or is it random chance that they should do such a great job?I'm enrolled in Air Force ROTC at the moment and LASIK is my only option to continue on to flight school. Flight school requires 20 20 vision. Otherwise, I wouldn't be considering it.
