Can laser eye surgery improve one's vision to 20/8...?
I operate cranes and need to see small objects from a distances between 70 to 110 feet away. My vision is fine now. I'm concerned about my eye sight years from now since both of my parents wear glasses.

I am confused by all the different procedures. PRK, lasik, wavefront technology, epilasik, lasek etc.. Has anyone had laser surgery done and what's your experience with it? I am not too sure about intra ocular lenses as I find it a bit invasive. I was told that my prescription is too high too for the laser eye surgery but I would like to have other options

I have glasses and contacts. When i wear my glasses then put my contacts on everything seems to look bigger. And I want to eventually get laser eye surgery. Is everything really bigger. Has anyone went from glasses to contacts to laser eye surgery? And if so after you got it done did you see the same out of your glasses or your contacts?

I have experience of dental treatment under sedation, not full general anaesthesia, but just IV sedation. I was wondering if sedation is ever used in laser eye surgery, as I would like to have it, but I'm not sure if I could bring myself to go ahead with it. I would be most appreciative of any advice

Considering Laser Eye Surgery.?
My vision is deteriorating rapidly and im only 15, Im near sighted very bad , as well as far sighted but not as bad. Everything is blurry wether its close or far away, i wear glasses but even those arnt strong enough. I was considering going through laser eye surgery but i was wondering what were some of the repercussions. The pros and cons. How are the results? Im very well aware that it is extremely expensive.See i wear glasses as well as contacts on occasion and my vision is still horrible, My optomotrist said its possible that im going blind but he still wants to run more tests before he confirms or dismisses it. Is surgery my only option to fix this if contacts and glasses arnt working?
