Laser Eye Correction Surgery

Question: Anyone had laser eye correction surgery?

Im considering having it done, its quite expensive and Im a bit nervous about it since as it's my eye. Just wondered if anyones had it done? how did it go? was it worth it? did it hurt!? thanks :)

Hi, I had laser correction surgery at Optimax about 5 years ago. It was probably the best thing I've ever done for myself. I still have better than 20/ 20 vision although due to my age, I now have reading glasses. It's fantastic, you wake up in the morning and don't have to reach for your glasses, coming in from the cold doesn't steam your eyes up! You can go swimming and can actually see what you are doing plus I found I felt more confident in myself instead of being behind a metal frame. I recommend it wholly, I have recommended Laser Correction to friends who have also had their eyes done & all of them are extremely pleased with the results. Hope that helps Danny

My brother had it done. He was just a few degrees away from being legally blind. The whole thing only took 10 minutes to do and he said he couldn't even feel anything. Matter of fact, he watched the entire process on the monitor. His vision is 20/ 10 now with no problems whatsoever. I asked him and he said he would do it 100 times over. Hope this helps! :)

First of, how old are you? And has your prescription changed in the last two years because if it has then you can't have it done just yet. And you should be aware of the risks. Some people end up with glasses once again and need to redo the surgery.

I had mine done 2 weeks ago - and it's absolutely brilliant the procedure itself is fairly unpleasant, but not really painful and over very quickly - and then you can see! i had mine done with accuvision, they were friendly and professional throughout, didn't pressure me at all (unlike ultralase, who were ready to take credit card details immediately) and were actually the cheapest too :D bonus!

I was also going to ask the same question.one thing i am sure about that the procedure itself is painless.but i am worried about the complications.I have asked quite few friends of mine .all of them have got some minor side effects like dry eyes or halos around the eye but in the end they are happy with their decision of having the surgery if you want further information go to ultralase.com and there they have discussion forums relating to this .you can read different people's experiences. my question is anybody had laser eye surgery from optical express?
