Can laser eye surgery be used to reduce your prescription?
Can laser eye surgery be used to reduce your prescription?I have been told that my vision is unfortunately too bad 8 and 10 D European contact lense strength to be corrected by laser surgery.I am therefore wondering if it is possible to get laser surgery to just improve my eyes and reduce my prescription to a more normal level. Has anyone out there done this? Hardly any contact manufacturers make lenses this high in strength and I'm scared that someday I won't be able to find any. Also, I don't like wearing glasses as they magnify my eyes so much and people comment about it I have been told about the possibility of lense implants but this scares me Do the implants degrade over time?Any thoughts would be appreciated Thanks David I feel much happier now

I just had a VTC eye oporation which i think means something like, vertoctomy, tenstion and catatact and i was wondering if i can wear makeup? and my op was on monday btw x

Why do people get lasik eye surgery when it's risky?
Lasik eye surgery can have side effects which can cause permanent damage to the eye. I used to have bad eyesight until a friend at work told me about some pills that are very good for eyesight. They are called bilberry. They take a while to work and you also have to reduce eyestrain to get results. In other words, reduce computer use, relax eyes more, stuff like that. I am living proof that this works. So why would people spend money on surgery when there's other methods to improving eyesight? Maybe people are skeptical of things. I was too until I tried it.

Has anyone gone to glasses, contacts to laser eye surgery?
I have glasses and contacts. When i wear my glasses then put my contacts on everything seems to look bigger. And I want to eventually get laser eye surgery. Is everything really bigger. Has anyone went from glasses to contacts to laser eye surgery? And if so after you got it done did you see the same out of your glasses or your contacts?

Most time I use lenses, and it's okay but friends say that lenses bad for my eyes and I saw many kinds of eyes with terrible appearance because of using lenses frequently. Catarct Eye Surgery HELP?
So my dad got catarct eye surgery today, and he has to go for a follow up tommorw. But just for my own knowledge i want to know if there is something wrong. He keeps saying that whenever he looks at anything, a light, computer screen, television, his phone, there is a glow around everything. For example if he looked at the computer and there was a blue dot, he would see the dot and a blue glow around it. Is this normal?

Lasik Eye Surgery! Help!?
I just got lasik done a week ago, and i know fluctuating is normal, but my left eye can see 20 20 and my right eye is starting to be fuzzy, only slightly better than it was before the surgery. When i went back for my post op visit the day after, both eyes were corrected to 20 15, and seem to have been effectively corrected. I have been using my prescribed eye drops as directed, and putting artificial tears in, too. Again, i know fluctuation is normal, but it's been two days now, and my right eye has not fluctuated again for better or for worse. If somebody has had this experience before, please help. thanks

Wearing Makeup After Eye Surgery?
On monday i had eye surgery, i think he said it was something like a VTC vetroctomy, tension and cataract and my mum told me that im not meant to be wearing any makeup, but i really want to, so i was wondering if there was any way of getting around it, or is she just lying to me because she doesn't want me wearing makeup ? lol x
