What other options are there besides toric lenses or eye laser surgery?
I have been fitted with toric contact lenses from CIBA Vision, because I have astigmatism. However, the lenses are not at all comfortable. One is absolutely irritating. It seems I constantly have a double vision, like the lens is not fitting well. Also, my eyes are always dry, the lenses feel like they are shifting on my eyes. I was fitted with a lot of brands, including Acuevue. And now CIBA Vision. None seem to work. It looks like laser would be the only option left, because wearing glasses with a 5.50 and 7.00 strength is also not comfortable. Anybody have similar experiences and how did you cope solve it?
Has anyone gone abroad for eye laser surgery?
my friend hates wearing glasses and contact lenses,we live in ireland where its very expensive to get laser treatment.does anyone know of a good clinic somewhere in europe where she can get it done a bit cheaper.i would be going with her so we are looking for something affordable with a good reputation.looking forward to hearing about your experiences.......

Bearing in mind that I am 14, and my eye sight is really bad and getting worse. EVERY time I go to the opticians, they tell me that my eyes are getting worse. When I was younger my eyes were never that bad and whenever the opticians gave me glasses for reading , I would chuck them away.When my dad became aware of this he said that I have to wear my glasses.Since then my eyes have been getting worse and worse.I am really tired of glasses and i don't want contact lenses and i'm tired of getting a headache after getting new, thicker glasses.which would u recomend glasses or contacts??

i have farsight eye power and because of that i couldnt get into a football team. i'm planning to do an eye laser treatment. i heard about zyoptix laser treatment being the safest. will my eyes get back normal? have any idea how much the treatment will cost?
