Does eye laser surgery have any pregnancy SE?
i heard from my friend that with eye laser surgery, you can't conceive for 8 months. is this true? or anybody heard of any major SE other than eye infections?

The muscles around my eyes twitch really fast. I have injections into the muscles every 3 months to help with this. I also have really dry eyes too. Additionally, I have congenital ptosis and photophobia.
What other options are there besides toric lenses or eye laser surgery?
I have been fitted with toric contact lenses from CIBA Vision, because I have astigmatism. However, the lenses are not at all comfortable. One is absolutely irritating. It seems I constantly have a double vision, like the lens is not fitting well. Also, my eyes are always dry, the lenses feel like they are shifting on my eyes. I was fitted with a lot of brands, including Acuevue. And now CIBA Vision. None seem to work. It looks like laser would be the only option left, because wearing glasses with a 5.50 and 7.00 strength is also not comfortable. Anybody have similar experiences and how did you cope solve it?

I filled in the form " am I suitable?" . It said I was but only for NON laser treatment.What's the cut off point? Who can and can't have laser treatment? They don't give any details on the Ultralase site.If I say I have false teeth you could say ... ah, people with false teeth can't have laser eye surgery. If I say I am Mexican then you'd say, ah people who are Mexican can't have laser ey surgery. So, perhaps you can tell me who can and can't. Within a range of people who are not classified as blind. Is it based on being long short sighted? Is it to do with strength of prescription? If so, why so? As I've asked . . . . Questions are often hypothetical. What are the general rules governing suitability?I'm having a hard time here . . . I didn't ask what laser eye surgery was.I didn't ask for opinions on whether I should have it...I asked about those things that discount a person from having it and those things that allow a person to have it.I have filled in the details on the Ultralase site the result being that I am recommended for NON laser treatment, or, to put it another way, I can't have laser treatment but some other intervention such as an artificial lens.So, what factors discount a person anyone not just me from a laser procedure?
